2009 Grand Final
On the 20th June 2009 Dave Brawn was crowned the 2009 MPL Grand Final Champion.

Dave usually plays at the Royal British Legion on Wednesdays and his recent win continues Oliver's Army's march of success.

The all day tournament was hosted at the Castle Gate Casino in Dudley with a field of 139 players eager for a crack at the 1st prize worth upto £6000.
Year 3 Season 2 Quarter Final
The 2nd Quarter Final of our 3rd Year was again hosted at The Old Comrades Club, Smethwick on Saturday 9th January 2010.

117 entrants braved the icy cold conditions to participate for a 1st prize worth upto £1060 to the GUKPT or £1000 cash.

Chris Owen, representing the Host Venue, lifted the 1st prize after a gruelling heads-up with 3 x Duke Of York Champion, John Benton.
Year 3 Season 1 Quarter Final
The 1st Quarter Final of the our 3rd Year was hosted at The Old Comrades Club, Smethwick on Saturday 12th September.

128 players turned up to participate for a 1st prize worth upto £1060 to the GUKPT or £1000 cash.

After a marathon tournament which finished at approx 10:30, was eventually won by Duke Of York player Gary Renolds.
Year 2 Season 4 Quarter Final
The 4th and last MPL Quarter Final of our 2nd year was held on Saturday 30th May 2009. The host venue was "Ye Olde Winne Shop", a sports bar in West Bromwich.

Graham Chance, representing Oliver's Army, won the day and was crowned our latest MPL Quarter Final Champion.

Year 2 Season 3 Quarter Final
The 3rd MPL Quarter Final of the year was held on Saturday 18th April 2009 won by Guy Coley.

126 players registered to play for the £1000 first prize! This is the biggest field we have had since we began back in 2007.

Paul Archer was again the host supplying the venue with some great food, including a delightful home-made lasagne and a tasty chicken curry for lunch.

We supply live poker leaderboards to pubs, clubs and poker schools throughout the Midlands and UK providing our Venues and Players the "Poker in the Pub" experience they want delivering great value for money at the lowest possible prices. We do this by cutting down on un-needed expenses while also increasing sales for our participating venues.

With a Grand Final worth upto £6000 and Quarter Finals each worth upto £2000, the Masters Poker League gives poker players one of the most competitive prize pools on the UK Pub Poker circuit. Whether you're an accomplished player or you're picking up playing cards for the first time the Masters Poker League provides the perfect atmosphere for a cracking game of poker and a great night out.
Play well enough and you could be basking on a beautiful white sanded beach or sitting in the Main Event of a major poker festival!

The MPL play every week, 4 seasons a year. The seasons range from 11-13 weeks with no breaks in-between, with the exception of a 2 week break at Christmas. The top players from each venue are invited to the live Quarter Finals to play for a top prize worth upto £1000. The Top 15 from each Quarter Final are then invited to a Yearly Grand Final to compete for the Masters UK Pub Poker Champion Title and a 1st prize including a Grand Final Main Event Buyin to the GUKPT

Each week MPL charges it's Venues league fees for providing it's service. These league fees pay for the cost of awarding the prizes and running the Main Events.

MPL does not award the players cash prizes in the weekly tournaments. If a Venue allows a cash pot to be won at the end of the tournament then £5 is the maximum players can stake in a single game with a maximum of £100 total per tournament per day. It is the responsibility of the Venue Manager to ensure this rule is enforced at all times.

Our prize pools are structured to adhere to UK gaming laws governed by the Gambling Commission.
