The 3rd Masters Poker League Quarter Final was held on Saturday 7th June 2008 at the Old House At Home, part of the enormously successful Spirit Group.
The final table was tough and included once again Quarter Final specialist Anthony Preedy, from the Crosswells Inn, who had made a dramatic comeback from just 2,200 chips to over 50,000 eventually blowing out in 5th place.
MPL Newcomer Sally Gibbons, from the Saltwells Inn, battled her way into 3rd place walking away with a LCD TV worth £300! Ranj had previously made the top 20 in the first MPL Quarter Final when he put an abrubt stop to Eradicator's early onslaught, increasing his chip count to about 50,000 in one hand but eventually finishing in 19th position. In this final however he was relentless and played a great game through and through knocking out Spencer Newey, last season's Hot Shots Champ, and poker pro Mark Whittingham along the way.
