The 1st Masters Poker League Quarter Final of it's second year of running was held on Saturday 20th September 2008 with a record 120 entrants. The Venue was the Saracen's Head in Dudley.

On the whole it was a good atmosphere but due to a large presence from a great deal of new venues that have recently joined the MPL...

there were many new unknown faces to get acquainted with.

The tournament took place in two large rooms and finished at approx 10:30pm. The venue provided a choice of hot food at lunchtime with a buffet later on in the evening.
The heads-up came down to a showdown between Jason Harris and Mark Whittingham, both from the Old House At Home. Mark went on to win and settled for the £1000 cash.

Congratulations also to Lance Lawrence from Hot Shots on winning the MPL Inter-Pub Challenge. Lance won £30 of free drinks for his pals at his local Venue!
