The 1st Masters Live Pub Poker League Quarter Final was held at Hot Shots Snooker Club on Saturday 12th January 2008.

There were 105 entrants with a strong presence by the major venues such as The Foster's Arms, The Boatman's Rest, The Model Inn and of course, The Crosswells Inn.



The tournament lasted for over 7 hours with several breaks for the provided buffet finishing at approx 8pm and was followed with a Party and Disco. Ben Brown from the Fosters Arms bagged himself a branded chipset on winning the Play Your Cards Right charity event. Congragulations to all who made the cut in the top 20 for the Grand Final.

The Final Table

The last 8 of the Season 1 Quarter Final consisted of Claire Greasley, Gareth Edwards, Steve Wood, Jatinder Bangger, Dave Cheatham, Michael Richards, Daniel Goodwin and Andrew Gwynne. Andy Docherty stepped in as the dealer and Joe Foley commentated. Amid all the yawns, ooos and ahhs there was some cracking poker played throughout with Claire unfortunatley being the 1st to fall.
